As an Account Manager in the Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) division, you’ll be the first point of contact for key customers. You’ll handle inbound enquiries, source components, provide technical advice, and convert conversations into long-term, loyal partnerships. It’s a fast-moving, detail-focused role where your product knowledge, service mindset and organisational skills will directly impact customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
Job Responsibilities
- Convert inbound enquiries into orders across multiple channels
- Provide technical advice and product support to UK and international customers
- Prepare accurate, timely quotations based on customer requirements
- Maintain regular contact with clients to update on order progress and availability
- Set up part numbers and update stock levels in the internal system
- Input and amend sales orders with precision in coding and pricing
- Investigate and resolve account queries and customer issues
- Liaise closely with purchasing and operations to source parts efficiently
- Act as the central point of contact between customers and internal departments
- Own the customer experience from enquiry through to delivery
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a similar Account Manager, Sales Executive, or Internal Sales Executive role
- Strong understanding of MRO or industrial product supply chains
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Confident handling technical queries and working with product specifications
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable using sales order and stock control systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced sales environment
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
Pay and Benefits
- Salary: Up to £45,000
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00
