Job Description

Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer required to join a leading mechanical engineering supplier in the North East of the UK.

 

The successful Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer will focus on developing new business opportunities and managing key accounts across for Industrial Engineering / MRO / Mechanical Power Transmission products such as bearings, seals, drives, motors, gearboxes, valves, lubrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other mechanical engineering products.

 

The successful Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer will ideally have experience selling or managing key accounts of mechanical / industrial products such as mechanical power transmission, bearings, gearboxes, drives, motors, automation, couplings, belts, chains, sprockets or similar industrial engineering products. Full product training provided.

Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer Role

  • Focus on developing new business opportunities and managing key accounts across for Industrial Engineering / MRO / Mechanical Power Transmission products such as bearings, seals, drives, motors, gearboxes, valves, lubrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other mechanical engineering products.
  • Maintaining industrial mechanical engineering product sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets.
  • Work remotely / field based with regular visits to customer sites across the Northeast of the UK.
  • Liaise with various engineering departments.

 

Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager / Sales Engineer Requirements

  • Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer or similar within industrial mechanical engineering.
  • Must have experience of face to face meetings and booking appointments to see customers on a weekly basis.
  • Will ideally have experience selling or managing key accounts of mechanical / industrial products such as mechanical power transmission, bearings, gearboxes, drives, motors, automation, couplings, belts, chains, sprockets or similar industrial engineering products. Full product training provided.
  • Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed, grow, and bring on new business within Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering markets.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Willingness to operate remotely with travel to customer sites throughout the Northeast of the UK.
