About Schroders, our parent company

We’re a global investment manager. We help institutions, intermediaries and individuals around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future.

We have around 6,000 people on six continents. And we’ve been around for over 200 years, but keep adapting as society and technology changes. What doesn’t change is our commitment to helping our clients, and society, prosper.

The base

We have been in 1 LWP since 2018. We’re close to our clients, in the heart of the UK’s financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly.

The team

We are one of the largest UK-based wealth management firm, headquartered in London but with offices around the country. We help private clients, families, charities and some institutions meet their long term goals by offering our expertise in investment, wealth planning, lending and family office services.  We draw on the resources of the Schroders group, as well as having our own in house investment team.

We're open to flexible working, so we can all balance our personal and professional commitments.

What you’ll do

The Events Manager is responsible for the management and co-ordination of events for the Wealth Management business, including seminars, corporate sponsorship, and hospitality, from initial concept through to logistics. The role reports directly to the Head of Marketing, Communication and Events. The individual will manage several events from ideation to completion within agreed deadlines and budgets. Familiarity with the team’s procedures, FCA compliance requirements, and the principles of ‘Conduct Risk’ is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and manage internal and external events, including corporate hospitality, investment seminars, sponsorship events, road shows, and some regional events for the Wealth Management business.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of event attendance and ensure all information is recorded in the events database.
  • Project manage individual events from concept to completion, including venue search and negotiation, AV, speaker and entertainment sourcing, registration, and on-site logistics.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure all collateral is prepared, delivered on time, accurately, and on brand.
  • Maintain and manage the events budget.
  • Complete Health & Safety, risk assessment, and insurance responsibilities as required by Schroders.
  • Act as the main contact for all Health & Safety updates.
  • Manage the invite process from start to finish.
  • Manage events in the event system (Adobe Campaign).
  • Maintain the events timeline, collaborating with Marketing to ensure it is current and that deliverables are clearly defined.
  • Track and report on all event ROI.
  • Maintain a database of relevant suppliers, including venues and caterers.
  • Manage presentation content in conjunction with speakers and ensure compliance for the relevant audience.
  • Ensure all events are delivered within the regulatory framework and in line with corporate brand and style guidelines.

Skills

  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive and in-depth events experience, ideally within financial services or wealth management.

  • Able to demonstrate successful event delivery.
  • Ability to take ownership and work proactively to ensure event success.
  • Experience organising virtual and hybrid events, preferably using Zoom.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to create event content.
