The Global Internal Communications Manager is a key role in the Global Communications team and responsible for developing and delivering internal communications plans and activities aligned to our firm-wide vision and strategy. This role, which requires regular office attendance (minimum two days a week) includes leading on content and campaigns to drive employee engagement, and providing communications guidance, support and advice to senior leadership and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead the implementation of global internal communications plans, in collaboration with regions, and employee engagement activities to embed a high-performance culture and alignment to strategy.
Source, create, manage, and monitor global communications content – i.e. internal emails and blogs, video content, news stories, national and regional newsletters, and manage their distribution through the appropriate channels.
Collaborate closely with other members of the communications team worldwide to ensure global and region strategies are communicated clearly and cohesively, and that global campaigns and change management projects are delivered consistently and creatively and with impact.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, offering communications best practice and advice to achieve business objectives.
Provide support to region communications teams to enable the effective use of global communications channels – i.e. the global intranet and the internal email distribution system.
Provide practical and consultative support for key internal events and leadership updates, i.e. webinars, town halls and briefings.
Access insight and measurement to make informed suggestions for improvement.
Support on any other aspect of the communications team's work (whether internal or external) as directed by the Global Senior Communications Manager, the Global Internal Communications Lead or other senior leaders.
Essential Skills & Experience
Demonstrable interest in writing, corporate storytelling, and employee engagement.
An interest in technology and experience in working with database, intranet, and email marketing software (or related technologies and systems).
Proficiency in MS office, including PowerPoint and Excel. Digital media and video production skills are an advantage.
High degree of professionalism with an eye for detail and senior stakeholder exposure.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clearly, concisely and convey key messages with precision.
Strong organisational and project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight timescales while maintaining high standards.
Team-spirited and collaborative, while being able to take the initiative and work independently.
Strong people skills and the ability to work with all levels with confidence, positivity, diplomacy.
Positive and energetic with a can-do attitude and with the ability to pro-actively drive initiatives forward and seek improvements.
Demonstrates creative thinking and attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Experience in a globally matrixed organisation is an advantage.
