Job Overview
This role focuses on revenue generation through the sign-up of professionals on the Follion Properties website, including advertising and listing professional profiles, property sales, lettings, and auctions. The position is responsible for onboarding property professionals and available properties for sale, letting, and auction onto the platform. It also involves managing client relationships with property professionals and property buyers from Nigeria interested in properties in the United Kingdom. The goal is to significantly increase both the number of professionals and listed properties on the platform.
Key Responsibilities
• Onboard registered estate agents, property developers, property owners, short-let accommodation providers, and state and federal land and housing authorities across the 36 states of Nigeria.
• Clearly communicate the various listing subscription packages to prospective and existing professionals on the platform.
• Ensure all property professionals and buyers understand and agree to comply with UK regulatory requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing, and Transfer of Funds regulations.
• Create and update all professionals’ and property buyers’ details, and conduct compliance and AML checks and reporting using the Apex27 Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application.
• Ensure that the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) has authorised and approved all professionals and property buyers before any transactions take place.
* Manage and support Nigerians based in the UK who wish to sell or rent properties in Nigeria, ensuring compliance with UK AML regulations.
• Assist, support, and deliver training for property professionals on how to sign up and upload property descriptions, images, and videos that meet platform standards.
• Contact and assign tasks to registered freelancers and contractors for property-related assignments, such as capturing property media, and verifying company and property records with the Corporate Affairs Commission and land registries.
• Upload auction property descriptions, images, and videos to the platform.
• Organise and coordinate quarterly UK property acquisition events for existing and prospective buyers in Lagos, Abuja, and Kano.
• Develop and manage social media campaigns targeting Nigerians who travel regularly or on holiday to the UK and may require short-let or temporary accommodation.
• Prepare and send weekly marketing campaigns showcasing available properties for sale and auction using Apex27 CRM and Mailchimp, in line with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements.
• Report software issues (defects) or suggest improvements via the Jira application, ensuring appropriate priority levels are assigned.
• Conduct ongoing market research through client engagement to better understand trends in the Nigerian property market.
• Support other office tasks as assigned by the line manager.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and decision-makers.
• Create compelling media proposals and presentations in response to client briefs and pitches.
